Mashrabiya is a term for sophisticated latticework in Islamic architecture, and the ones illustrated are particular to Egypt. Made of small, intricately carved pieces of wood, inter-connected without the use of nails or glue. These illustrations were used in Brownbook Magazine's catalogue for Carwan Gallery, Dubai.
